3D Printing

Personal 3D printing projects using a Creality Ender 3 Pro — from functional mounts to timelapse experiments.

After some time I finally got myself a 3D printer — the Creality Ender 3 Pro. This page documents the journey with the machine, from first prints to more involved functional designs.

Ford Fiesta Phone Mount

A 3D printed bracket that allows a phone to be mounted to the top right of the Ford Fiesta Mk7’s inbuilt screen. No modifications to the car required — no drilling, no adhesives.

Designed to solve two practical problems: making it easier to reconnect the phone to CarPlay after temporarily using it for Shazam, and keeping Waze navigation visible alongside the main screen.

Timelapses

Using a Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint with the Octolapse plugin to capture high-quality print timelapses. The setup saves files directly to the Pi’s SD card using a DSLR, producing clean footage without dedicated timelapse hardware.
