For my solution I chose to create a photography aid device that helps the user to record and locate photograph opportunities.

These sketches began with some of the most relevant ergonomic measurements, then some further harness & modular storage options.
Ergonomic Investigation
I created a quick prototype made from card and plastic, which was given to users to feel to see if it fitted well in the hand.
The shape was unusual because it also fits directly onto the top of the cameras hot-shoe.

Useage Example
Here we can see that using the device will provide more specific information than what could be provided by just a mobile phone.
The use of an accurate altimeter will provide elevation data to help people locate a good photo opportunity vs one that may not be so good.

I made one very simple one to show the size and test ergonomics.
The final prototype was a visual representation of the how the design would be produced as a commercial product.
